A week before Thanksgiving, Tristan Smith and Iselle McBride (who are also the executive producers on the Fox comedy “Tron: Legacy”) are making a special appearance on “TNT.”
They’ll also be appearing on “Saturday Night Live” with Melissa McCarthy and Zach Galifianakis on the 25th anniversary of the “Star Trek” franchise.
A week before the Thanksgiving holiday, Trismans Smith and Ides will be on “SNL” to talk about their new project, which they’re calling “The Tristan & Iselles Show.”
The new series is based on Tristan’s book, “A Very Long Day: An Unconventional Thanksgiving Day.”
The book, released in February, was written by Tristan with Isella McBride and was based on the first two seasons of “Tropic Thunder,” which was produced by “The Bachelor” star Adam Scott.
In a new interview with “The Daily Show,” Smith said he and Ise had been thinking about the book idea for a while.
He said that he wanted to write a story that would capture what it’s like to be a dad during the holiday season.
“It’s very simple, it’s a dad-daughter story that’s just like the real thing.
It’s a little bit of everything,” Smith told “The Howard Stern Show.”
He said that “Tran” was a lot of fun to write and that he was thrilled to be on the show.
“It was really exciting to be part of this big show,” Smith added.
“I think it’s something that everybody should know about.
I love it.
I think it is a little different than what you see on TV.
I don’t know why you’d expect that, but it’s so cool.
I can’t wait to get started.”
Smith added that “SNLS” is one of his favorite shows, and that they had a great time on the set.
I can’t think of a better way to end Thanksgiving than with “Trons” and Iso.
Thanks to everyone who is so supportive of the book and this special holiday season, we can’t imagine a better place to kick off our anniversary celebrations.
