Why the Cowboys could get a deal for Dez Bryant

The Dallas Cowboys have reached a deal to send wide receiver Dez Brown to the New York Giants for linebacker Victor Butler, the league confirmed on Wednesday.

The move would add to the Cowboys’ salary cap flexibility.

The Giants have until March 9 to send Brown, who is expected to earn $1.4 million, to Dallas.

He has been a backup in the NFL since the 2012 season.

Brown has played in every game for the Giants.

He started his career with the Raiders.
