Midwestern family broadcasting is in for a significant change, according to the midwest broadcasting company’s president.
Jim Henson Enterprises is joining the ABC7 and ABC7.
Henson Enterprises owns the midwestern family television station and will also be part of the ABC’s content delivery team.
ABC7 will also have an ABC7 app, which is currently being tested for the U.S. market, and the ABC will also air a weekly morning and evening news program.
The news will be hosted by Mark Parnell, who will be the morning and afternoon anchor.
ABC7, a sister station to WCPO-TV in Chicago, is the midweek morning and late-night news program that will air at 5:30 a.m. and 9 a.b.m., respectively.
Midwest Family Broadcasting will be part-owned by the Disney-owned ABC.
It is not yet clear if ABC7 will have the same news format as WCPT, which has a daytime and evening lineup that airs at 6 a.p.m..
